This is way boozier (57% alcohol) than Scotch (around 46%), so it has a bit more bite. A bit of water or an ice cube tamed it a lot. And it is smokey for sure. I can smell the pinapple, but I can't say I taste it. Regardless, the flavor is dark and rich, it has some sweetness, but it's mostly just smooth with a great finish. Don't totally understand the story that's promoted on the bottle and don't care! Amazing and currently my first or second favorite whiskey.

Service is lighting fact. The bottle shipped the same day I purchased it. ECBP is probably my favorite pour and I always look forward to a new release 3 times a year. This year EC is taking it back to the way it used to be. Last year was still good but it sure wasn't 2019 or all of 2020 (chef's kiss). With this offering, ECBP seems to be getting back on track.
