As I follow another artist on Instagram (Samantha Fish), When Rivers Meet was a recommendation and I can tell you, I was not disappointed in discovering this husband and wife duo and their blues rock music. I can't wait for their new album and to see them live. As for this album, Aces High is certainly a good place to start if you are into finding new bands that grab you straight away.

As I told Aaron & Grace, I already had the album & bought this one to give away as a gift for one of my guests to the Blue Lamp gig in Aberdeen last October. He enjoyed it but didn't buy any of the merchandise after as he had to go to work. It is a great album & I know he will enjoy it.

When River Meet always make good albums and Aces Are High is perhaps their best yet. A bit heavier and with the kind of 'dirty' guitar sound I love but still has it's lighter moments such as the gorgeous Golden. As always Grace's vocals are azing and when he does sing Aaron can more than hold is own. The playing is as tight as ever from both of them as well. Caught a little of one tune on social media, though I'd try out the free CD offer (what did I have to lose?) Love the songs and was surprised to find out that there were 9 songs on the CD, I was expecting the usual only 1 or 2 for a demo CD. I'll be looking for more releases soon.
