Well this Christmas gift may not be the surprise for my husband I had planned as he is bound to have seen at least one of the (at least) half a dozen emails I have had about the order for this shirt! I know he wants a white linen granddad shirt with dark buttons to wear with his Irish tweed waistcoats and hoped this one will do even though it is cotton. It seems ok. I will find out if it fits when he unwraps it on 25th and pretends to be surprised!

This is a lovely tweed gillet. Comfortable and warm. It has inside pockets which are important as the outer pockets are shallow and really for hands only. It can be worn casual or dressed up . Either way it's very comfortable.

I ordered on the 18th of November after confirming that delivery would occur in the time frame (7-10 days) and before Christmas, well it arrived before Christmas making its appearance on the 23rd of December. I was relieved, as were my children it was a gift from them for her. Not sure if the hold-up was with An Post, Canada Customs, or Canada Post, but next time I would allow more time for delivery. The quality is not the same due to the thinner flannel used in sewing together the mens flannel pajamas. The flannel pajamas we use today after a decade are made with thicker flannel material.

The sleeve length is about an inch short. I have several size medium coats and your sleeve length is short by comparison. A friend of mine bought the same coat, also in a medium, and he thinks the same thing. Other than that, I like it a lot.

Quality is fine, but it is a tad tight around the chest (despite adhering to measurement chart provided). Will wait summer out (southern hemisphere) and see how it feels when winter comes in 2022.

This is a fine cold-weather, wind-breaking jacket with a warm lining. The substantial hood -- fixed to the collar by strong snaps -- is easily removed and stored in an inside, zippered pouch at the back and bottom of the coat. I wear the Burren jacket comfortably with a sweater in breezy, 20º F conditions, and I'd say it's just as useful as the Cork jacket for chilly, wet weather. Not an ideal coat for a mild, sunny day. Finally, the pockets do their job well.
