This is lap quilt (2 of 3) made from t-shirts after my Dad passed away. It turned out beautifully. This one is for my sister. I have to throw in the plug, that my Dad unfortunately drank the "dump" kool-aid but would lovingly listen to me lecture him on all things on the opposite side of the political spectrum. I miss my Dad so much. Having these lap blankets is a nice reminder of him (even if the dump and info-wars garbage gives me an ulcer!) and his love for life. Miss you Dad. Love you.

This lap quilt was made out of old t-shirts of my fathers. He had passed away last April. My parents would have been married for 70 years next month. My mom has really missed him so much. I asked all of the grandkids to donate one of their shirts that reminded them of Grandpa. This made it even more special. Our son LOVED his quilt he received for Christmas! Great way to display multiple tshirts and jerseys from youth and high school soccer instead of them taking up storage space. I sent in t-shirts from two of my children's school years. The blankets were very carefully cut and sewn. I was quite impressed. I designed the placement of the panels. I wanted the blankets to retain their shape, so i hand tied the blankets. After checking on You Tube, I found a quick and easy peasy method to tie. I have 3 more gift cards to use, two for my other two children, and one for myself! Thanks you Project Repat!
