Air expanded plastic, similar material to swimming pool noodles. They work quite well on the Roland Taiko-1, softer than a pen tap on a table for people around you. but hitting a maximum strength of level 2 of 6 in the drum. Too soft to fire the Roland's rim trigger, but more than good enough for night practice in an apartment. Lessens the impact of those flying Batchi wall dents too :D ahem.

I bought these as extensions for a more relaxed fit for my clasp boots that I purchased, had to trial and error which catch I had to hook the clasps into but I figured it out in the end. With these attached I can now tuck my long pyjama pants inside my boots, no more tripping over my feet anymore.

These fit like my ankle sports socks which sit just shy of my ankles, the sole's will take a bit of getting use too as you cannot slide along the floor lip syncing 'Old Time Rock And Roll' in Tom Cruise fashion, you'll most probably face plant if you tried because these have little rubber grips on them that don't at all feel awkward to walk in. Cool little socks and a great fit.

I ordered size 24 to correspond with European size 38 and the shoe fits perfectly. I love the side clasps which can adjust to ankle size -- often boots are too big for my ankles, but these can cinch in nice and snug. The shoes are sharp looking and comfortable. The delivery was also very quick to Canada (though note there will be a customs clearance charge). Very happy with this purchase!

I was looking for a genuine Katsugi Okedo strap, initially found a place in the US but the shipping cost was very expensive. Then I found Taiko Shop in Kyoto which has a much better selection and quality. Best of all shipping cost was very reasonable and arrived less then a week after it was shipped. Stupendous. Sound clear and with body, distant and every microtonal change feel like Japa. I play the bassoon, though, and i think reed can't be used by everybody because it's hard and since also an half millimeter less can change everything isn't that comfy not being able to touch them. I excepted it more "woody" but o would like to buy as much as I can to make an orchestra of some sort. Stupendous, as above

I just started to get into Yosakoi when I had to move from a State in the US that had it, to a state with very few cultural enrichment. I was so excited and also nervous when I ordered Yosakoi Naruko Odori (DVD) from the Taiko Center. I'm living in mile-high Colorado, USA - It's very low humidity, which limits me to playing my bamboo inside. The Yuu, for me, is a perfect practice instrument for when I'm in low humidity, direct sunlight, etc. So I can play outside or in any weather conditions. The sound is good. It's easy to play. Note that it is on the heavier side. Meri notes are not as resonant through the plastic, but it still works. Lastly, I put a sticker on it! I would never do that to the bamboo. It's great! :)

The previous pair I bought lasted about a year (probably walked 500 to 800 miles in it on paved surfaces). Eventually the sole started wearing through, so I bought another. The shoe is excellent for water sports (such as sailing: good traction and your feet dry quickly). It's also good for walking on smooth surfaces. My Shakuhachi journey now begins thanks to Taiko Center who had the best price for a shakuhachi yuu on the internet. Delivery was very quick (dispatched Monday, arrived in UK on Wednesday). Well packaged and communications from Taiko and DHL were excellent. I am a complete beginner so am unable to make comparisons but the flute appears well made and reassuringly solid. Would certainly recommend Taiko Center.
