Quite comfortable, and will fulfill their function adequately, but a somewhat overwhelming chemical smell (of plastic?) coming from the package and shoes which I hope will fade. It seems to be made with a lot of synthetic materials (I had expected more cotton I suppose).

My favorites by far are the Kurashikiya Tabi but I injured my foot and needed more cushion. The sole in these is comparable to a Vans sole and it provides more ground insulation in cold weather but the fabric upper is tighter across the top of the foot; I can’t fit a 3/4 length support insole or warmer socks like I can in the kurashikia in the same size. Otherwise they’re nice, still lightweight and comfortable.
