It's a gift for an upcoming birthday, so I have not used the item personally. Shipping was reasonably fast but the packaging is crumpled and perforated, unfortunately, as it came in a plastic envelope not a box. The go-to shipping method for so many vendors these days, sadly. I bought this for myself, and it has taken a village to help me. The directions were good, but I am not very good at visualizing how things go together. We did make one mistake though. We forgot that the battery was already attached, and my boyfriend did a job on his finger putting the chain on as the saw was operational. But that is not the saw's fault but ours. I really like the size of it and if my neighbor likes it, she may buy one for herself.
