I have a small shower and the water used to hit the back wall all the time, but now since I’ve added on the swivel piece, now I can angle the water down so that I can lather up. lol. I recently bought an expensive Handsgrohe rain shower and handheld system and had it installed by a plumber. The handheld shower had extremely poor water pressure (even after removing the flow restrictor). After searching online for remedies, I found The Shower Head Store's Handheld Shower Head Set.
