I bought these boots for this upcoming fire season so I haven’t been able to put them to the actual test, but so far I’d say these boots are a little warmer than the Lowa Tibets but not a game changer. Much lighter and more comfortable than any fire boot I’ve owned. I wouldn’t recommend to a hotshot or anyone that’s going to spend a lot of time in hot black. But a resource advisor like myself or an overhead resource. Highly recommended! I wish them came in a 10”

I picked Patagonia Rio Gallegos waders for the quality and fit. My previous choice was Rio Azul, which were discontinued. The fit on them was slightly more generous, but the Gallegos are more heavy duty. They seem to be a little harder to wiggle in to, but it is worth it for a streamlined fit (no pun intended!). They haven't been in the water yet, as we are approaching ice-out in the Rockies. I anticipate loving them.

This bag is really well-made and I love the color/waxed finish. If only it came in the 27L size! I had to return it because it just wasn’t big enough for my needs.
