Before getting this item, I would use an regular ear scoop tool on my boyfriend’s ears and have him hold a flashlight over his ear so that I could see what I was doing (do not recommend doing this!). This device made it easy to check my ears to see if there were any issues and it turns out my right ear was completely clean to the drum, however my left ear was completely impacted and required removing copious amounts of wax. Tldr: 5 stars, 10/10 would buy again. this is solid device. You might need to get carbamide peroxide (ear drops) to soften hardened ear wax first before it can be removed. I rarely write reviews, but when I do, it's because the product is truly exceptional & stands out above all other competition. This little earwax removal tool is one such product and is worth every penny. Not only did it allow me to see the wax buildup clearly, but also made it easy to scoop the wax out (after a little practice).
