I used 1 Tbsp (6g) of the grated Cocoa stick, a miniature bay leaf that was gifted with the cocoa sticks (gratitude), 1/4 of a star anise , and about 1 inch of a vanilla bean, spilt. I simmered that with 4 ounces of distilled water covered for 10 mins and then added 4 ounces of almond milk and simmered another 10 minutes covered.
