Tillandsia recurvata is the most drought tolerant native species of airplant in the USA. It's found native to New Mexico and Arizona. In my area of Colorado it's very dry and arid, but we get the Monsoon like it's natural range. So I've experimented the last few years with putting them in my oak tree. I occasionally supplement water if we have a very long spell of no moisture. I bring indoors in winter. Now to the point. These were the best looking and ethically grown air plants I have ever go...

These are beautiful! Each one is much thicker than is expected. I have them outside to enjoy the remainder of our Alabama summer. When the weather changes they'll live in our sunny bathroom.

This is one of my most unusual looking Tillandsia as well as one of my favorites! I can't decide if it looks most like a big shaggy sheepdog or an alien. The leaves are surprising rigid and dry - not softly drooping as they may appear in the photo. The plant which arrived was large (about the size of an apple) and in excellent condition. Soon after arrival, new growth quickly began sprouting from the top. Thank you!

I had bought these for a class I taught on air plants . All the ladies except one had never had an air plant before. They were all so happy they all went home with 3 air plants! The default display picture of pink plants is very deceiving! They are green not at all pink lol! I ordered five for $10 and so did my best friend. The ones he received a week after I received mine looked smaller haha but for the price point this was an excellent deal. I had to water mine immediately as many of the leaves were curled at weird angles and curled- so for an hour before this picture was taken used my fingers to manipulate the leaves to look symmetrical and I pressed them with my fin...

If you’re into clumps, this one is for you. So far, these seem hardy and easy to care for. Firm enough yet flexible so that the leaves don’t break off as easily as some other air plants. Thin/grass-like yet strong, succulent-like leaves. Love!

An excellent specimen this time. The last one I ordered a couple years ago was too small and it died of rot. Instructions online for this plant is bright direct sun and dunk it in water twice a week. It seems to be growing fast under these instructions. The company I get my instructions from does not recommend soaking these plants for 20 to 30 minutes. I have lost too many plants to rot doing this.
