This dog door is a high quality product and fairly easy to install. I had to modify the locking bracket to eliminate a small gap between the dog door and the sliding door, by grinding off a few millimeters from the edge of the bracket that rests in the recess of the dog door. This allowed me to move the female lock receptacle away from the edge of the dog door and eliminate the gap. A tricky installation due to the design of the sliding door catch. I had to drill two holes in the 90 degree “fin” to enable nuts & bolts (M5 x16mm) to be fitted to the door catch, that could only be fixed through holes its back end. Alignment was also tricky due the mechanism of the lock which incorporates two hooks that swing into the catch from top and bottom.
