I bought these for a 2,500 mile cross-country drive. Not only did the compression keep my legs feeling good in the car, but they have become my new favorite hiking pants after a few stops at National Parks along the way. Using the series one 1/2 tights here. Use them for the gym, cycling, probably under some skinny jeans. I am on the low end of a medium. Someone at the old Skins suggested I size down to smalls to get better compression. I am great full to that person, have done that on ever Skins piece I buy. Recommend these arm sleeves for numerous sports. Like the series 3 as it provides decent compression, helps with sun exposure, keeps you alert from compression feedback, integrates with wide variety of outfits (golf shirt, tight cycling jersey, american footall, soccer, running, weight lifting...). I have been wearing Skins since 2007 when I first purchased them in Sydney, Australia, New South Whales. I purchased a long sleeve and long tight, a three quarter tight , a short sleeve and short right tight. Then the color was only black with gold thread's running through the seams and pockets to put each in when they needed to be laundered. Using the Skins Elite bibs for a while now. So far finding these, probably due to the compression, work really well sizing down to get a very tight cycling kit. These will have more compression than other bibs on the market. Going smaller improves the compression benefits. Am not stretching seams but going very tight is the goal with these. Found this thermal top to be very useful for cycling in a wide variety of temps. Use it as a base layer from mid conditions to freezing. Can layer it up under small fit jersey or jacket. The thermal fabric is a bit thicker than Ser 3, find it provides a bit more compression which is nice. Found not sizing up, on boarder has worked nicely as it is a better fit and wicks moisture well. These are one of my favorite pieces of cycling kit. They have a thermal fabric like the thermal tops, allowing comfortable riding at 40 degrees (a bit about 0 c).
