I was think the shipping needs some improvement, the button are very hard to get to go onto the breadboard, i keep bending the pins on them, but they all came bent. Overall only a minor inconvenience, but i will probably get more components, and also some raspberry pi compatible components. This is fun and i will definitely do more.

The kit is great and the story is exciting. There is a minor problem witht he new crafting table website as the cookies aren't working properly and I have to start right at the beginning and re accept all of the pre course work then each day before I can start the new day. This is already becoming tedious.

It's a great starter kit I plan to get moving with it with my grandson and introduce him to the SPC and the breadboard and the hardware first and then we'll get into making the circuits work. I'm at a point where I'm ready to go online and try to download the instruction manual for it and see what's involved. It's it's a great way to get stored and I appreciate the cost factor which was under $10 for shipping.

A fun little kit with an Arduino device to experiment/program and it's fun to make a blinky light on the breadboard and then alter the program to change the rate of blinking. Very easy and a fun experiment. You can do many such projects with this basic set.

I love the kit so far. The thing I most appreciate is that the kit has a small box containing smaller lengths of wire to make the projects easier to put together and look nicer overall. (Think 1cm, 1 inch etc) And there are different lengths of wire for the same purpose, Like 4-8 inches. It's an improvement over 30 Days Lost In Space in that regard.
I know it's a newer set so it doesn't have the fun little videos with Astrid like Lost In Space. Those would totally improve the experience but it...

Getting the HERO screwed down to the board went well. I'm new to this, so had to search on best practice - The plastic spacer goes between the screw-head and the HERO. I'm delaying commitment to affixing it just yet - so used some basic double-sided tape to keep it all connected for now. I can see the value in this board, as things are going to be sliding around soon.

The packaging is nicely done. I plugged in the Hero board and ran the two basic examples that come with Arduino IDE 2.3.2 with recent library updates (8-8-2024) applied. Blink.ino and Fade.ino ran perfectly. The 'text adventure' format of the Cogsworth City lessons are adequate and interesting.
