The ad says that the Cogworth city kit comes with installation instructions. It does not. Also, there is no where in the kit or the label that lists the website URL to learn how to use the kit. I had to go back to the original ad to discover the URL where I could get the lessons.
And then, on the website with the lessons, there is no clear indication of where to start since the one website is used for so many different kits. You should have a separate website for each kit. And assume that your ...

Maybe I’m just too stupid for this kind of thing, but the instructions are extremely unclear. I’m lost about which part is which, what the names of specific pieces are, and what class to sign up for, and what order they should be taken.
I think a more obvious chain of actions for a complete newb like me would be helpful. Or maybe a warning that at least some basic knowledge of circuitry and/or small appliance repair is needed.

While the kit looks interesting, it is just a box with stuff in it. No booklet, no QR code, no instructions or website link to go to. I have no idea at all what I am supposed to do next and have not had time to research it. Was supposed to be a gift for a child who loves this kind of stuff but I do not know if I will give it until I know what to do with it. Maybe that is part of the adventure?

The plastic kit with the handle depicted in the images is not what we received. We received a tiny cardboard box but it does appear to have everything in it. The solar resistors seem to be faulty. The buttons provided are not the same size as what is in the videos and diagrams so we've got to adjust everything to make it work. The videos and written instructions differ frequently. It is still a good learning experience, but it could be better.

I'm a bit sour because I feel I was mislead. The ad promoted the kit was absolutely free and I should only pay shipping and handling of 8.57 but I was charged that plus nearly 80.00 more full price. I'm wary of scams and dishonest marketing and no explanation has been offered. I'm willing to pay a fair price but bait and awitch is not honest marketing. I haven't posted negative on social media yet but I'm about tired of waiting for am explanation.

It's an ok product but the course was a little lack luster sending the user through the motions without much explanation, the lesson using the photo resistor could be better as the default value provided for the light level often doesn't work based on the environment you're in, glad it was a just pay shipping type of deal

I really want to give this a good review, but the instruction is mostly through videos, which is my absolute worst way of learning.
The kit is great and the story is cute, but the first independent coding project has me frustrated by the prospect of searching through videos for the hints I need and frankly ready to walk away completely.
And yes, I can skip that project and go on, but why would I when the whole point is to learn?

Overall the device is really cool! My biggest complaint is the instructions are really bad compared to other inventr.io products. The instructions didn’t specify to remove the protective sheet on the covers so I had to take it all apart after. The QR code led to a wiki page with very confusing/outdated info (for example I didn’t need to install a driver).
I also had an issue after changing the installed game. The instructions didn’t specify what to do here so I ended up finding a video from ard...

I have never received my order, I have been back and forth with the USPS but have not found any solution to either return my money or find the package, I ordered a different kit from a different company being delivered through UPS, I'm not sure that any fault lies with inventr.io just wish I had some recourse.

I was very excited to buy a kit that seemed more personal than just buying cheap components, but the ai video and box art are really off putting. We’ve only done the first couple activities, and the community on Facebook seems very vibrant, so I think we will enjoy it ultimately, but I wish it didn’t lean so much on AI, even if that meant a more basic style of design and video.
