I tried these wet on wet for the first go. Bursts of color just amazing! They are richly saturated, creamy and a pleasure to use. Rich paint makes such a difference in my work. The photo attached does not even begin to show how luscious these paints can be! They will definitely spice up your palette! Thank you!

This paper is softer than I expected it to be, and I really enjoyed working with it. It took some getting used to, as the paper buckled a bit with water, even when taped down, but it dried fairly flat. I loved that part about it. The paper took the watercolors really well, and allowed for lifting of colors. Overall, I really enjoy this paper.

LOVED opening my package of goodies from Blue Pine Arts on Christmas morning! So excited about my silk brush roll and the gorgeous paint colors in my paint pans. (You can see my little birds made with the granulated clove). Over the moon with the special things Trudi and her team tucked in…three paint dots including the very special kubers gold, some extra paper samples and yes, a tea bag.

I absolutely love this paper!! So easy to paint on, no matter the technique but I especially love wet on wet blending, so seamless and dries without the usual dramatic blooming. I’m also a sucker for raw edge paper so I love that too!

I really love how *easy* these paints rewet and the colors are incredibly pigmented. Sunset tones are some of my favorite to paint and I'm so excited to keep painting with these. I also very much love how curated this palette is. Once you swatch it, you realize that there's both cool and warm tones of each color. Freaking awesome and well-thought out!

Super pleased with the color selection. Highly recommend giving this a shot if you want to start travel sketching or if you just have limited space in your painting space. The tin has space for more half pans to add additional colors if you want them.

Love this paper! The paper is soft and handles the watercolor very well. It paper doesn't buckle at all because it is glued down all all 4 sides. I typically paint 2 5x7 paintings per sheet to get the most out of the paper. I have been very happy with it so far!

Choosing a custom palette from Blue Pine Arts was so difficult because there were so many stunning colors to choose from. Absolutely lovely experience with the paper blocks. The glue is strong enough to hold down super saturated paper, but doesn't make it too difficult to remove the pages. The paper holds a ton of water - the lighter weight buckles a bit but the heavier weight does not - perfect for keeping washes wet as you paint in the studio. Lovely! I have had a blast painting with these blocks. The thinner paper buckles a bit under lots of water if that bothers you (just grab the heavier weight!) Everything dries down super flat though. The paper holds tons of water and takes a while to dry inside. If you are a studio painter this is perfect paper to try out in the even larger sizes!
