I first learned of this product last summer at a friends fire pit. It was fun to see the colorful flames leaping and darting. I was to think of Christmas gifts for my adult children and it occurred to me that they all have outdoor fire pits. I knew that my grandchildren would love the pretty fire. I remember my Grandfather putting copper wire in the fireplace to make the flames "pretty" as a child, so when I purchased "Magical Flames" I had hoped it would be somewhat like what my Grandfather did. I was very surprised that it was even better than the copper wire from childhood. My grandnephews (Ages 6 & 5) where amazed at the colors. I will buy most when I run out of the 25 packs I received.

Hard to catch in a photo, but this was awesome!! The colors were beautiful; blues, greens, yellows, reds. I would recommend this for not only families with kids, but adults too! We loved it!!

Great idea, I just wish the new and improved version was offered BEFORE I made a purchase. I would have paid more, but what I won't do is buy it twice, I just don't have that much call to use them. Kind of underhanded really.

I used this in a relatively large bonfire and had to use an entire pack of 12 for the 4th of July. However, everyone could see the colorful flames and the children/adults loved them. The recipe need to be made a bit larger for bonfires but works beautifully in smaller ones (i.e. canpfires and fire pits). I only give this 4 out of 5 stars because they didnt last 45min each but more towards 30min but again..... there is a however..... this fire burned a huuuuge stack of wood and the flames themsel...

I wasn't hopeful when I saw how small the packets were. We put 2 in. After about 5 minutes or so, the colors started. They lasted over an hour! very pleaased.
