I was eager to try this whiskey & it did not disappoint. It started out rather waxy with notes of cough syrup sweetness (not good) but it opened up nicely! A couple days later the waxy character took a back seat & the chemical notes melted off the sweetness, "purifying" the flavor. I'm still near the top of this bottle, but for all that, I still think I found a winner.

Don't bother wasting your money with the Great Booze company. They've partnered with a shipping company, GLS, that damaged my shipment. GLS has outsourced their customer service to the Philippines, and they have no direct line of communication to their operations center. This resulted in a 5-day delay just to get a status on the shipment which was returned to Great Booze for replacement or refund. Great Booze has a policy of no returns / no refunds and has failed to respond to several emails...
