Hello! I'm glad that you've asked about my experience, because I'm "perplexed!" I had the strings installed by a local music store on Friday - he even read the material you provided and Wes always does a nice job tying at the bridge and winding onto the pegs. I believe I've tuned it accordingly - low G of the 3rd Piano Octave, middle C and E and A of the 4th Piano Octave and tested the sound against a clip-on Tuner. However, the strings tensions feel "floppy" and the overall sound is "muddy...

Love the baritone sound so much more than the smaller ukes, and this Flight is especially cool. My other baritone, a Kmise, came with very thick strings which were immediately replaced. The Flight has come with very nice strings right out of the box.

The Chana is a finely crafted instrument.
It has been skilfully and beautifully put together. The frets are evenly balanced and I detect no sharp edges on either flanks along the fretboard.
The playability is awesome. I believe Chris has spun his magic on it prior to shipment. Action is nicely adjusted on the low side.
Tone is good. Notes come out clean and with some sustain.

The red aquila strings allow greater dynamics on the ukulele. I love the feel and the sound plus they look cool on a uke rather than the usual white strings. They are easy to fit and they don't continue to stretch so tuning is every time is not necessary once they have settled in

My AROMA AR-185 rechargable tuner is accurate and easy to use, and good for half a dozen gigs between charging. My only complaint is it too easily skips between instrument settings, so you ned to stay vigilant that you have it set to ukulele and not bass etc
