They are set up on level ground which I covered with weed fabric and then the beds were filled with a lot of hugelkultur (and straw), as shown on Self Sufficient Me's youtube channel. Pros and setup... After putting my bag together, I put moistened coco coir in, let it sit for 48 hours, then added the worms. I've had it set up now for 12 days. I fed my worms initially then again 1 week later. There is no odor! I wanted my bag indoors so the only convenient place I have, in my apartment, is in my kitchen!
