I loved all of the books chosen for me. I haven’t read them all, but some have been chosen for the book club I run and everyone loves them! The choices have been spot on.

I absolutely loved this spooky set-up. I really think the penguin cloth bound classics are the most collectible books. Also, the candle was hands down the best smelling, most unique scent. Only problem was my beautiful mug broke in transit. (See photo). Is there any way to get a replacement?

First a 3 month subscriber, extended another 6 months because I love Page 1 so much! Each book has been one I never would have considered myself. I enjoyed every one, except one I was lukewarm about, but did finish it. It's like Christmas or my birthday each month.

Just started reading my first book - We Run the Tides this morning and got about 75 pages in and like it so far. At first I was worried the age of the main characters (13ish girls) would be too 'young' for me but I am enjoying the dialogue and setting. I used to live in San Francisco and so it's nostalgic (it's based there) as I know a lot of the references, so we'll see as I continue to dig in!

Really loved digging into the history of archaeology, painful though it sometimes is. This book really was spot on for me. But maybe next time something fiction? I'm finding myself reading this one slowly to follow everything, and something a bit less involved would be great. (I really, REALLY do love this book, though!)

This book subscription has been so fun! The first book I received (Half Broken Things by Morag Joss) was a bit dark, but still well-written and from a new-to-me author. This second book, though — Murder of the Century by Paul Collins — is a home run! I can’t believe I’ve never heard of this story before, and I’m thoroughly enjoying it. I am astounded and pleased at the fine selection I receive each month. So astounded that I gave Page 1 Book subscriptions as Christmas gifts this year. I never would've picked my first book myself, but it was spot on. I absolutely loved it. I loved how flawed the narrator was, but you rooted for him. I loved how irreverent the humor was. I loved how everyone needed to forgive to heal. I loved how it was heavy, but not. I can't wait for future picks!

I don’t know who reads such a shirt writer profile and picks out this book to send to them, but you need to hunt that person down and give them A bonus. This came just after a hugely disappointing first box from Curator Crate — in which I had said I don’t read trendy books just because they’re trendy and they sent me all trendy books. I was so pleasantly surprised with my book choice! I had never heard of the book and although I read almost all genre of books, I primarily read mystery and thrillers, & would’ve been very happy with a book in that category. Got my first shipment and loved it. It's so fun knowing someone has picked a book just for you. The book they sent was one I didn't own and hadn't read, but definitely sounds like something I would enjoy. So I am excited to read it!
