For starters: I SWEAR by Plant Food (everyone thinks I'm a green thumb because of it!). Attached are 2 pics of what I think is a Dracaena, corn plant. She wasn’t doing well for a long time so I put her outside, which didn’t seem to help. I cannot stand the smell of neem oil. Seeing how it was the best thing to keep fungus gnats in check I was always battling them because I refuse to use neem. I jumped on death drops as soon as they came out! Life was good. I made the mistake of not using them consistently and early summer got a BAD fungus gnat situation out of no where! This was perfect and the hardware was solid. The manual was thoughtful, beautiful and VERY helpful to install. The photo I included is standard ceiling height. I got this as an experiment to see if this would work in the future for a plant hanging from a 15' ceiling. With a long macrame hanger it will certainly work and the rope is perfect length to add extensions, not too long or short at provided length for a knot to get in the way. I used to kill any plant I got! Then my (now) husband had a plant from when his mother was alive-a pothos-that she used to care for and he continued to care for after she passed away when he was just 10. I felt all the pressure to keep this plant alive! Sometimes I water her plant with water from my kids’ water bottles as some symbolic way to give her life through her grandkids. We have our own well and live on a huge red dirt hill so the water is hard. When I first started my plant journey they all seemed to be dying quickly.
