If you are looking for a truly excellent shave - protection, glide, and slickness - you found it. Why not 5 stars? The scent. While this is a great scent, there isn't enough of it! At best it is mild on the puck and during the first half of the shave, then it disappears too soon. The balm is great as a balm, but, again, dissipates far to quickly to be enjoyed. On the other hand, maybe that's what you want - something that won't interfere with your cologne.

This is the last of the sample pack I got on the Independence deal. Wanted to give it a 3 but this scent/soap is a half star above that and decided to round it up to 4. First I have to say that the little sample tin didn't look like it was completely blended and not sure if that is the way it is supposed to be. I used about a pea sized chunk smeared in the bottom of my bowl and lathered it up to a nice rich thick lather. The scent once lathered is a touch weak but still smells good. The soap is ...
