I collect Utamaro Bijin-ga woodcuts, usually ones from the Showa period, which are more affordable. Because they are from a more recent time, their colors are vibrant, which is very pleasing. This print, however, was my first vintage print from the Edo period and it is stunning. Despite its age, it has retained its vibrancy and is joy to behold.
