I recently got a work sharp Ken onion 2 and was looking for a nice leather belt for stropping. Had a little trouble with amazons delivery but when I called red label abrasives customer service they were fantastic. Addressed my issue and sent a new belt out right away. I know this review is supposed to be about the belt itself, but all of RLA's products are fantastic. I've been making knives for over a decade now and out of all the brands I've used, I've liked theirs the most. I use it to strop my knives it does great , it takes the compound ( I use Tormek stropping paste ) and get a razors edge ( I use the rough side of the belt , I think it accepts the compound better ). I really like how Red Label Abrassives splices their belts , if it thumps I can take sandpaper as the leather belt is running to smooth it out.

I have purchased these disc a few times and have been very happy with them. I do mainly woodworking and they hold up well. I coat the backside of the sanding disc as well the sander disc with rubber cement . When it’s time to replace disc they come off easily with no mess stuck to the disc.

We build automotive use long tube headers out of 304 stainless steel. I have tried many different belts from 3M Cubitron and 777YF to cheap no name belts and started using yours a couple years ago with good success. We tried the 24 grit for the first time and I definitely will not be buying them again as the 40 grit belts remove material faster for our use. The 40 and 60 grit belts seam to work the best for fast removal of 304 stainless and the 80 grit belts leave a flat smooth finish. Longevity...
