I bought for myself and it looked good but I braided so it wouldn't get knotted. Also it didn't lay flat against my bun of hair as the fabric underlay poked out, I also had to tuck the string up under my bun.

These are much higher quality than you will get in an accessory store - the pony tail is thick, soft and beautiful - exactly like the picture. My daughter loves it and wears it everyday!
