Got the 8'0" Love child. I saw that they were discontinuing the quad version for the 2+1 and I wanted the quad option so I got the sale before they were gone. Catches waves surprisingly well. Even though it has 66 liters it catches waves as good or better than most 9 footers. This board is a great choice for the smaller days on the beach or point or when you want to get in fast and beat the crowd. Great first fibreglass board or transition onto longer boards. Only other comment is the fin box is super tight and hard to move the supplied fin around. Really enjoying this new high volume board!

I am 70 years old and weigh 70 kg and have the 9 ft 6 version. This board has more than doubled my wave count. The board is really easy to paddle as fast as incoming waves are travelling so I can pick up waves well before they break allowing me plenty of time to get to my feet. Have used it i small conditions to over head high and it works in everything. It is stable, quick, turns well and just feels really nice. I'm 65 yo and 92kg. Bought the 8ft Huevo SLX. Been surfing all my years and was looking for an easy paddler, good wave catcher, capable duck diver that can still rip. This board does it all. The bottom contour I would call a spiral vee. By that I mean a deepening vee along the length of the board. No concaves anywhere. Seems to work really well for this type of board.

Best Christmas present ever! I am 96Kg 6'2" and previously had a big fibreglass Malibu which I could occasionally get up on but struggled to paddle onto waves properly - sold it. fast forward 10 years bought this board and paddled easily onto the first wave and was able to ride the third wave to the beach.
