The carved Maori Taiaha that i ordered is absolutely beatiful. I really like it, its very sturdy but very light. The carvings are very pretty and its super smooth. Even the feathers look nice that are attached to the head. Package arrived quickly to Switzerland.. even though shipping cost an arm and a leg, plus customs. Only minuspoint for the ugly and very sticky sticker on the wood, that was so unnecessary, took me a while to scratch that off and clean it properly. Why do that?

Ka pai for the beautiful Korowhai. My daughter Natalya wore it with Arohanui for all the mahi shes done in her double degree( food science/ microbiology) At the Maori graduation, many whanau complimented her on the colours, feathers etc. Her Ngai Tahu iwi were very proud of her and said it will now be a part of her legacy. Such a beautiful ring! I'm so pleased. I love that it has meaning, and the shape is so fine and delicate. My experience with Shop NZ was extremely pleasant. The package came very well wrapped, and they even sent me some candy, Mackintosh's Toffee. :) The Harrogate flavor was very interesting and nothing like what I'd had before (the closest flavor I can think of is cream soda or root beer). I will certainly shop from you all again!

Love this Taonga, great service, the only complaint I have is, the tracking for shipping is terrible. I know I ordered at the busiest time of year but the tracking didn’t update very often. I got told there was a failed delivery but no slip was left in my letter box and I had to chase it up. However, this is not the fault of Shop NZ who were fantastic. I will be purchasing more items very soon. The mahi of my Taonga is beautiful and represents what I want it to. Just have to get it blessed now....

Very nice, I got it as a souvenir from my trip to NZ, was less expensive to order it and have it shipped home then to buy it in the souvenir shops in NZ. I needed up mounting it on the wall in my home office. It is a nice reminder of a great trip. One thing to note, the 'head' is very heavy so it will tip forward if you mount it with two supports under the handle.
