I’ve been running these plates front and back for awhile now. Compared with my buddy’s DMV-issued plates they are nearly identical. The only difference is build quality. I think these are much better build quality than the DMV ones. Toll road cameras and the like have no problems picking these up. Like others have said, shipping time was pretty quick. All in all, a great purchase.

Quality is top notch, i couldnt be happier. In comparison to the new legacy plates these dont have that annoying red tint from the reflective coating, the yellow lettering is a touch darker on these which i personally like more especially with the nice deep gloss black background. All in all im extremely satisfied with my purchase no complaints whatsoever.

These plates are beyond excellent. Compared to my original CA "lipstick" design plates (the current standard DMV edition), these vintage "Golden State" edition plates look even cleaner and more original. The embossing is perfect. The metal feels 100% original. And the reflective nature of the paint seems spot on as well. I am ordering a second one for the front of the car.

LOVE these plates!!! I’ve hesitated getting the DMV black CA license plate because I wasn’t a huge fan of the yellow lettering, and $50 additional cost each year. I couldn’t be happier with the color and how good they make my car look. I made the mistake of only ordering one plate so going to order another one plate. CA requires plates front and back;) ordering now that way I can put this one on back with registration and a nice clean slate on the front. You won’t be disappointed!!

Hello, I received my 1930 license plate today and I am overwhelmed how good it looks. I was concerned when I ordered it because the order form would not allow me to add the dashes between the numbers, so I only ordered one plate. I was surprised that it had the dashes between the numbers!! Just Like the original!! Now I wish I had ordered two.
