I have an established lawn, but needed to overseed it and fill in spots where I pulled weeds (from another grass seed brand I purchased at Lowe's), so Pete recommended I use the starter fertilizer when I planted. My neighbor up the street has the most beautiful lawn. I ride by and admire it all the time. He told me he ordered his grass seed from GCI. This is my first season seeding with GCI Cool Blue Grass Seed. Prior to seeding I had a lawn mostly K31 and numerous weeds. I decided to kill off the lawn and start fresh this fall. After killing off the lawn, I prepped the soil by raking up as much of the dead material as I could to ensure I a good seed to soil contact.
