On the first camping trip with this tent we experienced about 2 days of solid rain. I had not yet treated the tent with seam sealer and was a little worried. The tent held up great! there was (almost) enough room for me to stand up in the center of the tent (I am 6 foot 3), my wife (5 foot 9) was amazed at how easy it was to move around in this bad boy. I am a 5' 4" 64 year old female who camps alone. I just put this tent up by myself in about 2 minutes as a trial run. It took about the same to tear it down and pack it back up. It might take longer to put up if you're in very windy conditions. I wanted a tent that would be roomy enough after dark ( or in rain) to sit inside in a chair to read, stand to change clothes, etc. It's huge. We just used this tent for a 3 day camping trip and it didn't disappoint. We camped out in the desert where it got pretty chilly at night. The tent kept most of the wind out and we had enough room to spread out. There were 2 adults and 2 small children, with lots of room to move around. Cross country road trip with this bad boy has not disappointed! The set up is super easy and one person can do it in minutes. Same with take down. Camped out in Ellis, Kansas and woke up to a tornado watch that almost immediately got reduced to a hail, lightening, wind and rain severe thunderstorm. Scary! My husband and I just got back from camping in our newly purchased 5-second tent/cabin. It was so easy to set up and take down. It took us less than 2-minutes to set up. Pretty good for first-time use. There was plenty of room for us and our 90lb German Shepherd. We used the rain tarp since weather called for couple hours of late night rain....it poured!!! I can't say enough positive things about this tent. I'm a 71-year-old woman and it was so easy to set up. I've camped before with many different tents and I've always had a problem. This was a piece of cake within five minutes. It was set up. It's waterproof. I've only ever assembled pole tents, so you can imagine my SHOCK when it took next to no time to set this tent up! The convenience alone makes this tent worth it, but it has other great qualities too! I bought this to go with our Honda Element. I was less concerned about the price and more concerned about the quality. They are all about the same price. I was pleasantly impressed with the quality. It comes with quite a few straps that are attached permanently. This is great because it allows for lots of different ways to attach it to your vehicle.
