I absolutely LOVE this journal!! The quality and construction of it are so sturdy and well done — I expect it to hold up well over the years. The material is great — I love the colors that it comes in. Really like my childhood history journal! As someone who enjoys journaling but isn't very good at keeping up with it, this is perfect. The writing prompts make it easy to record my thoughts, and I'm glad there are also blank pages for additional notes. The paper is thick, higher quality than an average journal. Absolutely love this journal. It’s way more in-depth than a typical baby book and I like the ongoing component to it. I am very sentimental and love keepsakes, yet am terrible at journaling, so the prompts are perfect. Just enough extra space for off-script stories and photos/mementos. My 7yr old daughter was feeling a lot of shame from something that happened at school. She wouldn’t tell me what happened and was really upset about it. Since everything I tried was failing on getting her to open up, I got her this journal. I had her start in the shame section and In her first sitting, she wrote for 40 minutes on her own. I am completely OBSESSED with this journal!! We all set unrealistic expectations for how we want to collect memories of our children’s milestones. My husband does not like to write/journal. I've learned to be patient with him as we've made this a part of our marriage. But oh how worth the wait it is! I bought this for my husband for Christmas. I wasn’t really sure he would be interested in doing a journal. Where do I even begin! I HATED journaling before promptly. I felt like I never knew what to write, what would be important for remembering, and I would end up writing 1-2 days and then throwing out the journal cause it was useless!
