Bought this Kestrel 3550 AG as an upgrade to the 2500 given for me to use at a previous job. I like that it connects to an app for record keeping and is easily calibrated out in the field. I made this purchase in August after doing a sulfur spray in a sheltered canyon. In November now and it has helped keep the sprays on target.

Excellent field weather meter. Very accurate and easy to handle. The only minus (for which I took one star off) is a very short Bluetooth range - if I move more than 2m with the phone from the meter, it gets disconnected. BT is supposed to have around 10m range.

All good!! I did my research and decided I wanted a Kestrel 1000. I found it for sale on the Extreme Meters web site and the price was the same as Amazon and they both had generous return policies so I ordered it from Extreme Meters. Combined with Kestrel Basic Series Vane Kit, attached to a tripod, is an accurate, hands free way to measure wind speed and wind chill.
