Russet Potatoes mandolin sliced cooked in Organic Pork lard. Best chips ive ever tasted. Added “real salt” and wow.. Thinest slice on madolin cooks pretty quick, medium sliced ones took longer. We used a coffee filter, wide mouth Ball jar and ring to filter and save. Forget Seed oils, they are garbage. 😀

I bought the duck fat, tallow, and chicken fat. Needless to say if you can't tell by the pic we really loved the duck fat! Excellent lard! Decided to make tamales this year for Christmas & wanted a quality lard. My family uses cheaper lard but I wanted to see if there was a difference using Fatworks quality lard. This is the best tallow ever! I eat tallow daily for health. I had been buying in bulk from another supplier but wanted to upgrade to organic. The difference is hard to miss. While other bulk tallow can taste and smell almost rancid, this stuff is SO fresh. The only problem I have is that i’d love to buy in an even bigger quantity as I go through about a cup a day!

I wanted a great pie crust so I would make an all butter pie crust and while it was delicious, the texture was blah. I never wanted to use lard because of the bacon flavor it left in any baking but when I saw the leaf lard on the website I knew I needed to try it. My recipe is 60% butter and 40% leaf lard and the crust was OMG! It still had good buttery taste but now with the lard the crust is so incredibly flaky. I cannot recommend using lard in your pie crust enough.
