Put the thing up against the side of the house under the soffit facing the yard with the dogs. I made sure there’s free line of sight to the dogs hoping that the bark sensor would pick up on the barks. It’s only about 30 yards to the furthest portion of the neighbors yard. The good life bark control pro is just around 20-30 feet from the barking dogs and yet the dogs were not affected by the frequency. I do not know how long more I have to try before telling myself it is not going to work. It seemed like a waste of time and money investing in this product.

My neighbors dog is in a kennel on the other side of the fence. I placed the dog silencer max on the top of the flag pole on the left. That is the only way I could get a line of sight between the silencer and the dog. It kind of works but does not pick up the dog barking most of the time. I have to use the remote. I ran to purchase this collar after reading about it. This thing doesn’t work at all. My dog’s barking behavior is the same. Which means he is unaffected by it. We have turned it all the way up, tried different settings, tried training with it, and just using it normally. It does not affect our dog at all. Not to mention, the battery life on the collar doesn’t even last a full day, if I charge it in full. This is by far the most disappointing money I have ever spent.

The neighbors dog is a small Beagle. This dog howls relentlessly when it sees anyone. This includes my family pulling up into our driveway and entering our home. Bought the silencer with the solar panel piece due to intense frustration with my next door neighbor's basset hounds. Unfortunately, after 2 weeks, I don't believe it distracts or silences the basset hounds who bark in boredom very frequently with little concern from their people.
