My pugs (brother & sister) were rescues who'd been abandoned in a cold garage as tiny pups by a backyard breeder. Bith were sick and underweight. The female, whom we named Bailey, had a shattered femur joint in her back leg and was in a lot of pain (she may have been dropped or perhaps thrown, but luckily didn't die).
