I love photography so this game caught my eye. But...it is so much more than a game. As an educator, I’ve used Ouisi images for inspiration for story writing, conversation starters, making connections, and poetry ideas. Engaging and collaborative game! We love it because you can place without “rules” and it encourages creativity and sharing. This is the first time we played. My mother, who is 92 with some dementia, seemed to enjoy it, but didn’t really understand that there was no winner or loser. I think it would take a few rounds for her to relax about that!

Ouisi was purchased for a month-long trip to an upstate NY cottage; the travelers included 3 6-year-old wicked smart, creative boys and 1 3-year-old girl with the same chops. Games have been played during rainy days and at the end of days filled with running around. The images have intrigued them all and they instantly began identifying ways to organize the cards, their versions of games. Awesome as a conversation starter for people of any age and I am sure, for those who has more difficulties to talk about emotional things that might act as triggers.
