Have you ever played the game CodeNames? (You should btw, it's fun) Some of the kids in the family are still little and learning to read, so they can't play a game entirely based on words, but we play a version of CodeNames using Ouisi. You lay out a grid of the photo cards, then you give a number for how many pictures you're talking about, and you give a "code word" and everyone else guesses what cards you're talking about. My husband's dementia has prevented him from so many family games and activities. Even simple dominoes has been tough as he can't always tell an 8 from a 9. We played OuiSi with family members from ages 10 to 73 this Thanksgiving, and we all loved it. We played the non-competitive version, and everyone enjoyed it tremendously. The 10 year old loved making up long, complicated stories about his matched cards, and some of the adult’s explanations of their card’s connections were tenuous but hysterical. Played with my 3 year old grandson for close to an hour, sorting, stacking, looking at pictures and talking about the images. Lots of imagination at work! Will take it with us on our family Thanksgiving beach vacation for the whole family to enjoy.

We got this for my dad, who had dementia and loved card games but can't remember rules or objectives anymore. He loved that there are no right or wrong answers or solutions for this. He made connections that I never would have thought of.

This is a fantastic classroom tool. I have used this conducting teacher training as well as in my own classroom. It is very engaging to both students and adults and I love all the game examples included in the guidebook that is included. It was a wonderful entry event for the teachers and really helps students see connections better in nature. I highly recommend this product.

My husband and I loved the creative thinking the game encourages. We tried it out today before bringing it to a friend who is progressing with Alzheimer’s. After 2 hours of playing, we’ve decided that we need to give it as Christmas gifts for several people on our list. I bought OuiSi to be played with family at Christmas. My husband and I played a round and loved it so much, I think I will try a solo game soon! Straight out of the mailbox, or kiddos were using this game. The quality is fantastic...the photos are so well done, the cards are sturdy, the packaging is minimalistic and attractive. There are so many options for how to use the game. We're most looking forward to using these cards as "story starters" for our budding author.

I had previously purchased the original set for use when I volunteer on the memory care wing of a nursing home. Many of the residents are willing to get involved with this card game as I give each a stack of cards (there are plenty with a deck of 210 cards) and tell them to match color or patterns. They do nicely at this. Recently I purchased the nature pack. They still seem stumped at being able to identify the pictures, but that is all right. They still enjoy makes piles of either color...

The beautiful box of photo cards came quickly. The box is sturdy and elegant. I’m glad that I ordered 1 for me and 2 extras for presents. My two- and four-year-old grandchildren came to town last weekend. I was so excited to have my OuiSi for their visit! I suspect I enjoy and appreciated the photos on the cards more than they did. And we didn't play an actual game with the cards. We simply looked at all the cards!! I pointed out certain things that appealed to me, and the 2-YO always agreed with me! When this stupid quarantine goes way, I am anxious to play OuiSi with our adult friends. Thank you for devising this game!

Got the game shortly ago. I love all the alternative ways to play with these cards. As a photographer, I am fascinated by the images. I think of this as image Dominoes. It’s a thoughtful game that every person in the family can play. Whoever came up with this concept should be applauded! I plan on buying a second set of the museum cars as well.

We absolutely love this game! The moment it arrived we broke it open and our therapists played a few of the different games. Since then we use it almost every day with our patients to challenge their critical thinking, visualization and language skills. We have even recommended this game to parents to buy for at home! I am an elementary librarian and bought OuiSi for school. The cards are durable and colorful. The open ended nature of the game allows students to feel confident and successful while playing.
