I absolutely love the Baking Steel! I recently got into bread making and the it has been invaluable for the baking process. The way it holds heat without scorching the bottom of the bread amazes me every time I bake. I would highly recommend any home cook or baker to get the Baking Steel.

I received my steel just this past Thursday. I had the dough all ready for its maiden cook for dinner that night. I also have a Lodge cast iron pizza round that I’ve been using for a year now. So I was able to cook two 12-14in pizzas in my home oven in record time. They were great! I’ve included the before and after pics. I bought the 20x15 inch steel. I’m completely satisfied and that’s after using it only once! We’re having pizza again this Sunday. My dough is in the fridge getting ready!

I have had my baking steel plus for about 2 weeks. I have made 8 pizzas and after about the 2nd or 3rd try I couldn’t believe how good the pizza was. The crust was as good or better than anything I can buy locally. I am an ok baker but this really elevates my pizza to a point where I don’t ever need to order pizza again. Now I just need to improve my own skills, timing and process and I should be able to make a really great pizza at home.

I had a baking stone for many years and thought it was great, but then I found this Baking Steel and what a difference. I bought the flaxseed oil that you recommed and seasoned the stone per your instructions (wife said it smelled but I didn't think it was that bad). The original baking steel made it possible to get an old-world style crust in a weak Frigidaire (irony here) oven. I've made numerous styles of pizza, using Italian 00, King Arthur bread flour; from poofy crust with "cornicione" to crispy thin New England pan pizzas. The baking steel is a must-have if you cook pizzas in a home oven. Couldn't be happier!

Hands down the best carbon steel. Easy to season, great and fun to cook with it. It can be used on any surface, gas, grill, and flatop. Given it's 3mm thickness, I don't see any induction burner warping it. I'm just a happy cook.

All I can say is, I wish I would have bought one sooner. I used a pizza stone for a couple of years and got pretty good at making tasty pizzas. The Baking steel just upped my pizza making game. Really makes a nice crispy bottom crust.

They are beautifully crafted, retain heat evenly, and I keep finding new uses for them in the oven, on the stovetop, and on the outside grill. We used our pizza steel this evening to make some pizzas. I made my own pizza dough. I followed the great videos on Baking Steel website. The pizzas baked perfectly on the pizza steel. The pizza steel gets really hot. We previously used a pizza stone. We liked how hot the pizza steel gets and retains the heat. The Pizzas were delicious. We can’t wait to make more pizza on our pizza steel.
