The pencils are smooth and blend very well creating a professional portrait finish piece. The golden set is a joy to use, laying down a consistent color coverage. I am so impressed with the color Pencils, The colors are vibrant and very creamy when they are applied to the paper. I love that the sets come with swatch cards so you can test and view the colors before using them in your art. I ordered 3 sets all which shipped faster than I expected but was pleasantly surprised. I really like the castle arts colored pencils so when I saw they released a unique palette, I had to get them. The colors are muted and very beautiful. There are some that are quite similar so they're perfect for subtle transitions. I've never seen another company release such a collection. If castle arts decides to create other unique sets of colored pencils, I'll definitely keep an eye out.

The only negative about the set is that I don’t use the neon colors much, or the mixed ink at all, so would like to be able to replace the colors I use most without having to buy the set. I love your colored pencils. The leads are really nice and smooth to work with. The only thing missing from the set is a small sharpener. I have some nice hand held sharpeners but they really aren't that good for turning them instead of the pencils, so I am going to Hobby Lobby to pick up a few of those plain little inexpensive sharpeners.

Really great value! They’re easy to blend, the colors are all visibly different from each other, vibrant and they’re soft! The presentation is amazing as well. There’s a couple of slots in between the pages of colored pencils for your sketch stuff, sharpener and eraser. Great product!
