I found this small hutch at an estate sale perfect to free up cabinet space for all my stemware. It was painted a high gloss cream color which was not right with my decor. I discovered Amy Howard's YouTube videos and decided to give this product a chance..so happy I did! Amy's helpful tips from her video helped guide me utilizing Clean Slate which was very effective taking off the glossy finish (took a little elbow grease and 2 applications). I chose "Lady Singing the Blues" which applied beauti...

Super easy to use. I couldn’t be happier with this product after trying various other products (from vinegar and salt to oven cleaner). I used Trewax to finish and the counters are smooth and beautiful.

Posted before and after pics of a bedroom set that I had professionally refinished years ago. I wanted a glazed honey color (it ended up being orange!), but I lived with it. This paint is fantastic! I did two coats of Bauhaus Buff, a coat of Cracked Patina, and another coat of Bauhaus. Easy to use! Love it!

I started with my inherited nightstand. The top was all scratched up. I chose Almond daze and loved it. So easy to apply.and smells good. I finished my dresser and then just finished the bed frame. Now I have a “brand new” bedroom set thanks to Amy Howard’s Almond Daze.

Pained the rails on our back deck and our shutters with One Step black two years ago and they’ve held up beautifully. So when we built a new front porch, of course we used it again! My favorite paint ever

Easy to mix up and add to laytex paint. Clean up a breeze , right on my kitchen counter using all my regular measurement tools . I felt like a mad scientist. Planning to use on a dining set.

Love this paint and the ease of using it! We transformed a dated kitchen in less than a week and couldn’t be happier! Would highly recommend this paint! We used the Miracle Paint color A Good Man is Hard to Find!

So easy to update our old brick fireplace. The one hour miracle paint covered beautifully. It took less than a quart to do the fireplace. We liked it so much e ordered more paint to do the living room fireplace.

Still a work in progress. Love the paint. Goes on so smooth. We didn't have to do any prep work other than wash the table and chairs off. Love it. I'll be buying more of this great paint.

I am not a DIY or crafty person. When we moved into a rental house, while our new home is being built, we needed a bar. I decided to use my Dad’s old computer desk/hutch. It was a very ornate wood piece. Since it is just a temporary fix, as our new home will have a built in bar, I decided to try to update it with some paint and new knobs. I did research and the reviews for the One Step paint made me think I could do this on my own. So, I bought the paint and did it! It was so easy! I ordered a c...

This is a must if you love European finishes!! I’ve been blessed to travel all around Europe and drool over centuries of painted pieces. Amy has created something amazing that I can learn to duplicate those beautiful European antiquities that sell for thousands!! I played around with the different colors in the kit and layered some of them. I’m so excited to start using it on furniture!! Milk Paint is my new favorite way of painting furniture!

I absolutely love this color. I painted this old peace which had already been very badly painted. I did not have to strip the old paint simply thoroughly clean it and paint. I'm loving my new sideboard!

I love Lou Lou, I searched high and low for the color I had in my mind. Then I found Lou Lou ! The chip color doesn’t do it justice. It’s lighter.

This is my go to paint I use as my base coat for all of my pieces I want to do a French country antique finish on. I am a fine artist so I use it to finish my own frames, as well as for just about anything I want that French country look for.

Pasha White One Step Paint. First off, I am not crafty in any way! I have been dreading to do something with these knotty pine dressers and armoire for years. I emailed several questions regarding the color differences. They answered all my questions plus more. I am so happy with the results! It is more of an off white color with hint of yellow just like the had said! It is a matte finish. (I may add wax later.....time will tell) Three large pieces of furniture--used less than 2 quarts---with 2 ...

Our first-ever “One Step” project - a $50 FB bargain transformed with “Midnight Dreams” toned down with “Black.” Austere to “almost sassy,” the solidly-built little gem gives the room a pop! Lightly sanded. Three coats, matte sealer, easy peezy. We took our time getting the feel of this new (to us) paint. We have four more projects in mind: floor tile, two bathroom vanities, a small secretary and .... kitchen cabinets. We love it. We are so excited about the possibilities of AH's paint and prod...

This was my very first experience painting furniture, and using an Amy Howard product. It could not have gone any better on this piece that was gifted to me. The ease of the One Step paint and the pleasant smell made it so fun, and addicting, that I've now done (and am doing) more pieces! The color Cherborg is classic and timeless and getting all kinds of compliments. Thank you Amy Howard!

undefined review of Eggplant - Furniture Lacquer image 1 out of 1
Jim K.
I purchased both the lacquer as well as the paint, both in eggplant, because I'm re-doing a secretary's desk. The lacquer I sprayed into the little cubbies in the middle of the desk, because I knew I couldn't get to it with a brush. The rest of it I painted with a brush. The piece has a flat finish to it, whereas the part that I sprayed with the lacquer has a richer eggplant color, and a slight gloss to it. I think I'm going to order more spray lacquer and go over the whole piece with it, to giv...

The color is a warm blue. Painted 2 coats over stained cupboards, prepped with clean slate, sealed with beeswax. The paint was very easy to work with, cleaned up well. I probably have 2/3 of a can left . I would highly recommend this product. The cupboards are so smooth and professional looping. The pano picture distorted the picture 😬

I redid a very old family cedar chest for my mother. After stripping, sanding, and bleaching, I used Amy Howard’s cerusing wax. This was my first time using this product, and all I can say is wow! So easy to work with, and it buffed beautifully to a satiny smooth finish. I am so happy with this product. Will definitely use it for future projects!

Great product! I should have ordered 1 more bag of plaster but I was able to pull it off by not using top coat to cover wall completely. Skip troweled the middle areas👍

Absolutely loved the coverage. The black matte is beautiful. The best park is that the paint smells good! Getting ready to seal once it comes in. I forgot to order it! They were really great. It’s on its way. They keep you updated every step of the way. Thanks so much!

I was looking for a very light gray in the One Step line by Amy Howard. I finally decided on Manor Gate and I'm so thrilled with the results. I started by cleaning my faux wood cabinets in my RV with clean Slate and finished by using the Mind Your Own Beeswax. No sanding or primer! The coverage is so perfect with only two coats and the smell is very pleasant with the added essential oils. The Clean Slate does have somewhat of a chemical odor but not as strong as paint thinner (just make sure to ...

I love clean slate, besides the cleaning factor, it is great for removing wax and cleaning my brushes! So helpful, for example , when I don’t like my finished product I can just clean slate off the wax and repaint!!! 🙃🙃
