I got the black medium spoons. I love the depth of the sound and how much fun it is. You don't have to really know what you're doing, you really can just pick these up and to go town if you're able to just keep basic rhythm. very smooth, quality wood. they're lovely.

Have all three sizes now, and all I have to do is learn how to play them. The hardest fundamental for me is the upward glide. The spoons are all a little different in tone, volume, and speed. Will be fun to lay down multi-tracks and throw in the whole kitchen drawer! So far, my favorite for overall tone and playability (for me!) is the medium size. My wife and I are learning how to play together and it's quite fun, though I think she's going to be better than me...

I like the feel and tone of these larger spoons. Burgundy is my favorite color. I was a little disappointed though. There are about 5 or 6 scruffy marks on them. Are they supposed to have a used appearance?

My spoons arrived way ahead of schedule. They are beautifully hand crafted with a superb finish. I am not quite as good as the guy on your video but I am having fun practicing different techniques. Still have not mastered the really rapid movement or that one where you slide your left hand between the spoons without any break in the clap of the spoons. What is the advantage of the large spoons over the medium size? Is it volume or speed ?Are the larger spoons easier to play?

We have bought this for our daughter who has been playing with kitchen spoons often when she was living at home and then when out at restaurants would be asked to come and play with members of a band. I think she will love these spoons as they are meant to be played. They are on the way to Dallas, Texas as a surprise for her. When I played with them I thought they sounded great.

This is totally new to me. Watching the videos helps me play along. I have to practice my coordination, but despite all that, I love it, beautiful craftsmanship, really friendly people. When I get a little better at it I will buy another one with different tone. It is really the coolest, my friends have seen it on the coffee table and asked about it, and I have pathetically demonstrated it. I ordered the large red spoons for my 16-year-old nephew for Christmas. He loved them, but they broke within a few hours. I emailed customer service, and one of the owners quickly replied. He had me send a picture of the damage and then ordered a replacement at no cost. Due to a backorder, it took a few weeks to get the replacement, but my nephew is really loving learning this "new" instrument! Very cool product and GREAT customer service!
