Had to wait until Christmas Day to write my review. We ordered 3 spoons and they were a smash hit with my sons, one who is a classically trained percissionist. I bought a medium sized in the old fashioned color for my dad for his birthday. He's a mandolin player but also likes playing small handheld instruments. He loved the gift. Our server at the restaurant for his birthday dinner came over and asked if he could see them and started playing them too. I love the YouTube videos, they make it easy to learn. Quality and craftsmanship are beautiful.

I got one for my guy friend who was a drummer 30 years ago and I got one for my son who has been a drummer for 35 years. I haven’t given it to them yet so my guy will get it on Christmas Day and my son in the middle of June when he gets home. So I am so excited to give it to them. I will let you know later

Bought these for my 85 yr old father in law who suffers from Parkinson’s disease and dementia. Being a drummer it was a no brainer! Purchased a large set over a year ago and as my grandkids continued to blow me away with their improving skills I recently purchased all three sizes due to giving away my original set to my granddaughter who is in my opinion as good as anyone! I bought the large spoons. Love the curve of the wood on the bottom to fit my pinky, ring and middle fingers. Edges but not sharp edges. Being the large size, they are cool for me with adult large hands but may not with smaller hands. Because of weight difference, it also takes a bit more effort to move the large spoons, but to get the deeper wood tone, you must do what is necessary.
