I love the size of this plate because it is smaller and therefore is good for portion control. It is a gorgeous plate and food looks lovely on it. However, it probably is best used for food eaten with chopsticks as knife and fork. Tends to scratch. Other than that, this plate heats beautifully in the oven and holds the heat during the whole meal.

Initially, I was intimidated to use it. The instructions were in a 15 min Cook Culture video! But it’s actually so simple to use that I’m sure Cook and Culture could shrink the current 15 min video to 20 seconds. Good and easy to use product to maintain your carbon steel and cast iron pans.

Good quality pan, but with a few drawbacks. The pan is unexpectedly heavy (I bought the ~12.25"). I'm a lighter build guy, but I'm athletic, and I still find it a challenge to hold this pan over a plate for any extended period of time to serve food from it. The benefit of this is better heat retention, which can improve the ability for this pan to sear anything of large mass that is cold, and also helps to even out inconsistent element temperature (often an issue for electric). This part is quite amazing comes out of the box ready to go excellent non-stick finish, easy clean two. Did not get much basting action from the lid not sure why but will monitor this. Possibly because it was below 300°F roasting.

Decided to switch to hand grinding pour over coffee so that I could make a better cup one at a time instead of a whole pot. This lil grinder does the trick perfectly! It is surprisingly quick to grind coffee with a little practice.
