The new detente plate corrected the problem. Now I can cut square on the mitre saw. The Other manufactures detente plate did not have the slots in the detente plate machined long enough for adjustment. The manufacturer needs to recheck their machining set up to correct this problem. A well made detente plate which corrects the manufacturing defect.
