This caught my eye due to the unique design. It’s very well made and really well designed as a deep concealment, last ditch weapon. My GF has hijacked mine for her daily jogs since it’s easy for her to carry in workout clothes. My only complaint isn’t a flaw on the part of skallywag, but rather that my hands are a little big to use it comfortably. I wear a 2XL glove and it’s still usable for me, but a little on the small side.

Excellent sheath for right or left hand draw. Adding the 550 as seen in your YouTube video insures you don’t lose it when you need the MDV plus One in a hurry. The Monkey Tape wrap keeps it where you need it in your hand when you use the MDV Plus One. Excellent product!

Got the "blemished version." It seemed to just be a little tag of plastic on the handle which I removed. After which, there seemed to be no difference. It's excellent quality and almost exactly what I was looking for. It's bigger than it appears.

I've been a fan ever since I got my first Skallywag dagger from a battlebox. After getting an upgraded sheath for it at Bladeshow and picking up an Aluminum version ; I just had to get a D2 version. I support this company and even the "blems" are superior craftsmanship. Glad to edc this anyday. I carry the aluminum when I kayak and use the steel one everywhere else. I support Skallywag tactical products !

The handle is a little thicker than I like, but regardless it does wield nicely in the hand. The ring makes it very fun to fidget with. The blade isn't as sharp as I was expecting, but still slices paper fairly easily. Great blade for the price

When the +1 was introduced it was a godsend to me and my guys, professionally. To have this piece is much more than a "feather in the cap" the fit and finish is a nod to "the old ways" with the ergonomics and function that lend to a tool that you could trust your life too if required.

Just received this tonight as a birthday present, and can tell it will be my EDC for a good long time. I love the weight of the knife, as well as how smooth it deploys right out of the box. This is the ultimate EDC knife. I hook the sheath to my belt loop, then I forget it’s even there. I feel very confident when carrying the MDV Plus 1. I have trained in hand to hand combat for many years. So much can be done with this simple yet very well engineered design. My mom used to say “walk lightly but carry a big stick.” The MDV Plus 1 is somewhat small but packs a very big punch!

This is the best deal on a self defense knife that has the option of purchasing a trainer I could find. Compare to Amtac blades that run $450. The rhino sheathe is an truly innovative design that doesn't print in the pocket and with some practice, is easy to draw from. I would trust this knife in a self defense situation.

Just get them!!! Such a bargain, how many thing can you say that about any more? The WAHOO and MAKO axis lock action has a better feel and is smoother than my Benchmade. Both are way sharper than my spyderco ever was, right from the start. I love these knives. I carry them daily now. Awesome purchase.
