It's a true joy to bring out my knives and use them at work. I bring the Chef's Knife and the Santoku and use them throughout the day. Comfortable, ergonomical, well-balanced, good steel, sharp out of the box, easily maintained edge, and, not to mention, eye-catchingly beautiful. Everyone at work lives the look and feel of these blades. A great tool just makes every workday better.

It has exactly the right size of a handle. The knife had a great edge then I gave it a polished razor sharp edge and it cuts like a dream. Great product I’ll for sure get more knives from Skallywag. Thank you for your service.

This craftsmanship and design is an incredible example of artistry mixed with functionality. The wait was definitely worth it and it is a company that i would recommend to anyone looking for protective tools and more importantly, train with them. As a 41 year old (almost 42), I finally feel like I have adult kitchen knives. For real though absolutely the best kitchen knife I’ve ever used (and that’s even comparing it to knives 2-3x the price. Thanks Skallywag for such a fine blade.

I this has become my goto when going out into the woods. It has replaced and retired my kukiri machete. This blade is the perfect tool to goto whether your lopping through vines, branches or the skulls of your enemies. I love these knives.I bought 3.One for me ,one for my son who is in the Marine Corp. He commented on how well built they were when he received his.The 3rd.went to my wife who never carries a knife and always needs one.Now listen up fellas,she loves it ,the size is perfect for her and she carries it. I completely and thoroughly enjoy this knife I've been chasing it for so long and I finally got my hands on it and it hasn't disappointed. The only initial issue I think that I had with it was the holsters but I tightened them up as they were a little loose. The blade is so unique and well thought out as it is quite concealable yet has the utility potential to justifiably carry in my state concerning knife laws. Still gotta wrap my trainer. Love carrying this though, it's the first knife that I've felt really eases into any sort of grip. Easily concealed, carried, light, edc - checks all the boxes. The monkey tape is a must for me, changed the way I handled the blade tremendously for the better (not that its bad to begin with). I've had the MDV+1 for about 2 weeks, and the more I train with it, the more I appreciate it's unique design features. With nearly 3 decades of experience in edged weapons practice, I think I have a pretty good idea of what is good, and this one is very good. BTW, the straps on the sheath were added by me for scout carry.

Ordered the Aluminum Dagger for the missus and the Guardian Serrated for myself off the blem blades list. We received them and don’t even know where the blem(s) are!! The QC of Skallywag is awesome. I have had this a couple weeks now. I carry it every day. Excellent knife! Easy to flip with one finger, easy to fold but locks open very nicely. Razor sharp!! This is a Blem but I really don't know why, I can't find any imperfections. Love this knife, as all the knives I have from Skallywag. Always very high quality.

This “Mini” neck knife was promptly delivered after my order. I like it. Small, discrete, certainly easy to conceal, but readily available even if you have to reach for it under your shirt. Nice quality, 420 stainless, very sharp.

A beautiful blade. No idea why it's a blem knife, I can't see anything wrong with it. Lightweight, fits my small hand well. Comes in a nice box that is great for gift-giving.

I've been trying to get one of these fixed blades for some time now but they are always sold out. Just so happened I saw a blemish one available.... I don't care because I'm going to use it anyway. Arrived and I can't find a blemish anywhere. Works great and I like it more with no tape on the handle. Glad I finally got one and you will be too.

I'm telling all my friends about this one. Very happy with my D2. When I showed them, it got a *visceral* response. What the f#@k is that? A DAGGER? They were wigging out. "It looks like damascus steel!" As a man, our super-power is to defend ourselves and our family with skill, and preparation. Don't be caught with your pants down.. A must have for your MDV+1 I used the original wrap method by MDV however I have smaller hands and found that through training and general manipulation of the MDV +1 I found I needed a different type of wrapping so I opted for the traditional Asian style, wrapping, and so far it works best for me.

I took a shot and got the blemish blade (MDV+1) because it was the only one available at the time and still is as of me making this review 7/14/23 they need to restock! Anyways I was so impressed with their “blemished” blade that I contacted support to ask what was blemished about it and their answer shocked me. they said it was a finish issue light scratches or faded color that’s crazy well I still can’t find the “original issue” as you can see in photo all of the scratches are from me lol! Hello, not sure if I'm allowed to post this given it is not the MDv plus one but a good buddy of mine has one and I absolutely love it and the design. It made me rethink the belt and appendix carry and I've tried to come up with a way to implement this genius design in my cheap edc lol. I hope to be able to purchase one for myself soon and my buddy loves his. Anyway I appreciate the inspiration endlessly and wish you the best. Hope to be a customer soon, awesome products.

Ahoy! Started off by buying the mdv and absolutely love it. Its concealabity and lightweight makes it a perfect self-defense knife. Bought this knife to replace my edc knife. It is a beautifully classic and simple knife. It doesn't scream tactical and the blade is perfect. I use this as my daily knife over a spyderco Enduro I've have for several years. The price point was spot on and plan on getting some for my sons soon.

Always the best products and even have my husband on these products. I hike, walk, run a lot and these are perfect on my hip and around my kneck and you can't tell I have them and everytime I work with them, the sheaths never disappoint on holding and staying in place. I can't carry a gun at my new job, so this is the next best thing. The blade is really sharp. You can feel the quality of how it is made in your hand. This is a great blade for 22 bucks. I highly recommend it.

This is easily the best Dagger ever for the money! The OD green was the first one I ordered, once I received it, I immediately ordered the fde D2 Dagger, training Dagger, and one of the aluminum daggers. Awesome short sword for fun and the apocalypse! Can't really find anything better for the price, or any price for that matter. I love this dagger. Very practical and tactical. I love the Sheath and clip. I can wear it with any pants or training clothing at the gym. It stays in place and is very comfortable, concealable and deploys wickedly fast.

This is my lounge wear dagger, my Go too on them gray cloudy weekends. I can put this on sweats or baggy shorts no matter and it preforms flawlessly. I never have to worry about my dagger not drawing from the sheath or the sheath disengaging from my clothing. This is my 7-8 knife from you guys I Love every single one and one is always on my person and my wife at all times.
