Love this folder. I particularly like the hook for quickly accessing & extracting. Folding action is smooth & can be done multiple ways. The thumb notch can be used to start the opening as you pull it from the pocket which is great in an emergency.

It's a very nice little knife to keep in the door of my truck, you never know when you might need a Knife. Maybe you could make one just a little bit bigger out of a high carbon steel that would make a nice crafting knife.

The perfect Get Off Me Tool, I barely notice it’s there sitting behind my cell phone or mag pouch. Easy to access, just slip a finger through the large loop. I especially appreciate that the edges aren’t sharpened. There is no way to cut yourself, just stab the shit out of your assailant.

Sometimes I even amaze myself, but this was a no brainer. I purchased this MDV trainer to practice with while watching the training videos and I am so glad I did. This trainer is the exact same size as the MDV+1 and fits the sheath perfectly. Tape is good quality and is wearing well so far. It wraps nice and tight and there is no sticky adhesive residue oozing out. The texture of the tape is very smooth and It works well for pocket carry but is a little to slick for me when using the belt loop/ handel tuck method of carry. I will probably try a grippier silicone type tape after I run out of the monkey tape or maybe just a dab or two of liquid electrical tape onto the monkey tape. It's all about experiment and make it your own.

Though I bought the blade as blemished, the only "blemish" it has is a slightly loose fit in the sheath. Otherwise its great! Even though I am not worried about it falling out of the sheath, and it doesn't rattle when I carry it, I'll probably buy another sheath in the future that fits tighter. Fantastic little knife.

Got the @skallywagtactical MDV-1 Blade and I'm pretty fucking stoked about it!!! 🤩🤩🤩 I also got a few other blades in a separate order; but let's talk about this. This is super lightweight and made out of steel. It's coated in black (for nighttime stabby stabs) and has a small and effective hook on the end for both striking and for pain compliance. All, If you are thinking these blades are damaged or junk, they are NOT!!!! I got 2 blem blades and had to look super hard at the "Blemishes". Put it this way, carry your knife for 2 weeks, and you will have more damage on it than from the company itself. This will be the 3rd and 4th blades I have gotten from Skallywag and have not been disappointed!!!

I like the design and balance of the knife. The sheath came with a cheap belt hook which I replaced with an Ulti Clip. The blade looks good but failed the cutting paper test. I tried to cut the tag ends off a few 3ft zip ties with little success. The metal is very hard causing it to be laborious to put a useful edge on it. I want to really love this knife, but I find it hard every morning to choose it as my daily
