I can now say that I stand 100 percent behind his opinion that you guys make the best reasonable priced knives. I paid a quarter of what my Boker cost and I will never buy from them again. This is the 3rd blade I’ve gotten from Skallywag and just like the others, it didn’t disappoint. I bought this one just to have a lightweight variant of my Damascus MDV. I just received my Damascus MDV and I couldn’t be happier. Excellent quality from the blade to the sheath all the way down to the packaging. The MDV feels great in the hand, carry’s well and is razor sharp right out of the box. Michael Donvito knocked it out of the park with this design. I highly recommend the MDV (and anything else Skallywag has to offer) for your EDC needs. You won’t be disappointed. 👍🏻🔪

I usually carry a large folder, so I’m used to the weight and bulk. With that said, the Jolly Roger has pretty thick handles, making it a little bulky as EDC. BUT, it is extremely light for its size and has a great feel while using it. It deploys very nicely and locks up really solid. In my opinion, every belt clip knife should have the option to move the clip to suit the individual. To say I love the MDV Plus 1 is a very true statment. Then I got the Damascus MDV, and wow! In one word perfection. The the pattern is subdued and very attractive. The over all non glare finish is a big plus to its predecessor. I don't know if it does, but it seems like the finish adds to help with retention in the hand, and during transitions. Small, lightweight, razor sharp... I love it, only had it a week? Maybe less, and already thinking about getting one for my wife, the D2 dagger was my choice before but.. this tiny thing takes the crown! Definitely worth the $ spent... don't think about it, just get one!

This knife is my favorite, carry it everyday and use it constantly. I’m be done everything from cut boxes open and cut rope to slaughtering a lamb and skinning a bear! The D2 Tool steel is one of my favorites as it takes and holds an edge exceptionally well and resharpens easier than some of the fancier harder steels out there. Exceptional knife worth every penny.
