Super helpful team at Star delivered this HS board just in time for my trip to Indo. Board went really well both as a thruster and quad. Heaps of volume where it counts but not so much that you can’t put it on the rail. Not sure I’ll need something this big for the waves back home, but it’s well and truely done its job here in the Mentawais.

Normally ride JS surfboards and took a punt on this board for Medewi. Rode it a s thruster (FCS2 L accelerator), first wave 400m + went really fast, fast through the carves with a magic tail tweak at full noise. Floated through flatter sections really well. Got too big for it next 4 days, then tried it as a quad (front fins as above, (quad rear L performers) it then went off its face...it did everything fast and full control, full on cutties, oververt reps, loved it. It didn't like roll in take...

I got this pack mainly for the big knee pads! I'm pretty slim but the Mediums are a perfect fit, so if you're someone bigger definitely get the Large. I can get them on and off over my shoes. Really comfortable adjustable straps.

I got this fins with my Happy Everyday. There are the best fins for this board. I rode the traditional AM2 with my CI Happy Everyday. The board felt so slow. I switched them to the Pivot P8. The board became a magic board. I also tried them on my 6'6 step-up and 6'0 performance shortboard. Perfect fins for tight-in-the-pocket turns and barrels. What a weapon…. Ridden JS for years now and the evolution of the Black Box, to the Monsta Box and now the Xero Gravity is amazing. A bit more refined than the Monsta Box through the tail and rails makes it the perfect blend when I’m in slop or it’s pumping. Really is a grab and go type board and that makes life a lot easier. Headed off on a trip shortly and I think this will be under my feet in almost all the sessions!

Perfect board for little groms. Very light and would suit advanced groms. Lightness does come with some level of fragility though as it does get pressure dings easily. Another layer of light glass would help. Noah is only 8yrs old and this is his first new glass board. Ironical as I bought my first new glass board from Star Surf back in 88. Thats 36years ago!
